Arabic palak soup

A wonderful coloured soup that has aromatic spices to give a unique flavour, packed with lentils to give a thick creamy texture without the need for thickeners so good for gluten free soup fans also.

        Arabic Palak soup


  1. Fry the onions and carrots in the oil
  2. Add the organic red lentils garlic, organic cumin, organic turmeric, organic perfect salt, lemon juice, organic Harissa to the pan
  3. Pour in the stock and cook on a medium heat for one hour adding extra water if needed
  4. When the lentils have cooked (soft yet not mushy) your soup is ready
  5. Blend in a food processer or leave chunky
  6. Sprinkle the almonds and drizzle the olive oil over the top of soup dishes
  7. Serve with warm fresh pitta or nann bread
