Greens Organic organic chia seeds are simple, natural and nutritious. Chia seeds are an ancient South American superfood used by the Aztecs, Mayans and other indigenous tribes who understood the nutritional value of these tiny seeds. Zinc in chia seeds contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, hair and nails. Their very subtle nutty taste allows you to add them to absolutely anything that you eat or drink - helping to boost your nutritional, antioxidants and Omega 3 intake.

• Rich in Omega 3 (higher levels than salmon)
• High in protein (more than any other ancient grain)
• High in iron (3 times more than spinach), and a good source of zinc and calcium
• A powerful source of antioxidants (30% more potency than blueberries)
• High in fibre (2 tbsp equivalent to 5 pieces of wholewheat bread)
• Gluten free, non-gmo, lactose free

Drink: Add a teaspoon of Chia seeds to a glass of water or juice, before drinking. Add chia smoothies to your fruit smoothies. High in protein, try them with lime juice and a sweetener, stirred into a glass of water for a refreshing drink.

Sprinkle: Sprinkle Chia seeds on salads, cereals, yogurt, even soup. Or add a sprinkling in your baking - great in bread, cakes, cookies and biscuits

Soak: A common way to consume Chia seeds is to soak them. Make basic Chia gel by adding 1/3 cup of seeds to 2 cups of water. Stir, leave for around 10 minutes until it takes a gel-like consistency

Tiny titans of fibre and nutrition, these chia seeds are a vegan source of essential fats and proteins. They are neutral in flavour and swell up in water.

NB In the UK Chia seeds are classified as a novel food and as such, can only be sold a s abread mazing ingredient to a maximum of 5%.
