Over 5 million different species of insects and spiders (or as our kids seem to know them - mini beasts) share our world. Whilst it is ture that some spread disease and others can inflict poisonous bites, the majority are enormously beneficial - helping to pollinate flowers, scavening on dead plants and animals, providing a food source for many species higher up the food chain. Wheter considered "ugly" or "beautiful" they are all fascinating to look at.

Artist Fiona Saunders depicts 54 different creepy-crawlies and bugs with exciting vibrancy in this unusual pack of beautiful playing cards - a great glimpse into the world of entomology.

Sophie's comment:

We love playing cards in our house and always enjoy the illustrated cards from Heritage playing cards. Great illustrations and good for anything from playing bridge or whist or whatever your favourite card game is.
