Steenbergs Orange Pekoe Tea Lovers Leap

Steenbergs Orange Pekoe Loose Leaf Tea from Lovers Leap is one of the finest black Ceylon teas. It comes from the Lovers Leap tea estate in Nuwariya Eliya; this is about 2,000 metres above sea level, where it is in the clouds and which creates a light and very delicate taste and aroma.

• The cup tastes more like a Darjeeling than a normal Ceylon tea,
• with an amber infusion, an elegant smooth finish, with slight spiciness and a hint of fruitiness.
• The infusion is exceptionally mild on the palate.

Tea brewing: Into a warmed teapot, put 1 teaspoon of Ceylon Orange Pekoe Tea per cup plus 1 teaspoon for the pot. Bring fresh water to the boil and then pour over the Ceylon Orange Pekoe Tea and brew for 3 – 5 minutes.

Tasting notes: Copper liquor, bright, very light bitterness, mellow, and mildly astringent, light woodiness and floral.
