Steenbergs Organic Rosehip Tea

Steenbergs Organic Rosehip Tea are red in colour, being the dried bulbous fruit from Rosa canina, dog rose, which is the wild variety.

They are rich in vitamin C as well as having high levels of vitamin A, E and K. A cup of rose hips is apparently as full of vitamin C as 140 oranges and you get a decent amount in a cup of rose hip tea.

Rosehips have a fruity astringency and can soothe sore throats and ward off colds; rose hips may nourish the blood and reproductive system and strengthen the heart and brain.

Tea Brewing:

• Take 2 teaspoons of organic Rosehips and bruise slightly with a spoon or a mortar and pestle.
• Then, into a warmed teapot, put 2 heaped teaspoons of Steenbergs Rosehip tea, or more for a more robust flavour.
• Bring freshly drawn water to the boil, then pour over the Rosehips.
• Steep for 5 minutes.
