Steenbergs White Tea with Lemongrass and Rose not only looks totally fabulous in the packet and the pot, but tastes brilliant as well. Brewing in a glass teapot is a good idea as you then get the full beauty of the colours of the rose, cornflower and orange blossoms that gives this tea so much joy to make.
Axel’s concept for this tea is for a gentle lemony taste with the floral aroma of rose petals that will add some extra dimensionality to white tea, which some can find a tad on the dull side. So, there you have it – a stunning tea, both to look at and to drink, but then I (Axel) am slightly biased. It brews a deeply rich herby base with refreshing lemon notes and a gorgeous light floweriness from rose petals and orange blossom – it makes you feel special, so lean in to that and spoil yourself.
Tea brewing: Boil freshly drawn water, then cool slightly before pouring on the tea leaves. For a mug: Put 1 teaspoon of White Tea with Lemongrass and Rose per cup and steep for about 3 minutes. For a pot: Put 1 teaspoon per cup of White Tea with Lemongrass and Rose into the pot; steep for about 3 minutes. It’s up to you whether to add sugar.
Axel’s tasting notes: White Tea with Lemongrass and Rose is a mellow white tea with lemony, floral notes.
