Spanish Green Beans Recipe
Green beans are plentiful in summer through to early autumn so an abundance of beans needs a good recipe to use them up, this recipe makes a complete meal, all needed is some chunky warm bread to mop up the juices.

Ingredients
For the recipe:
- 500g green beans
- Sea salt (or use Steenbergs organic perfect salt instead of this and the pepper)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- 50g cured ham or unsmoked bacon(optional extra)
- 2 tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1 tbsp wine vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon organic pepper
- 1 teaspoon organic paprika plus extra to sprinkle on top

Top and tail the beans and string them. Cut into pieces. Boil in salted water for 10 minutes until soft and tender, then drain. Fry the onion in oil until soft. Add garlic and when starts to colour add ham(optional extra), tomatoes and beans. Half cover with water, add wine vinegar, sugar and pepper and simmer, covered for about 10 minutes until beans are really tender. Serve hot.
