Lunaio - Real Food From Italy. The De Carlo family make this organic extra virgin olive oil from the hand picked olives from their estate in Puglia, southern Italy.
The olives are stoneground in their own mill and the piccante, hot chilli flavour, is captured by simply immersing fresh organically grown chillies in the oil for several days.
Once the extra virgin olive oil is imbued with the flavour, scent and colour of the chilli, it is filtered through cotton and bottled.
The result is a spicy-hot organic extra virgin olive oil.
Serving suggestion: Use in sauces, stir fries, or any dish which needs a hit or a hint of warming peperoncino flavour from southern Italy.
