Andaliman Pepper is like Sichuan Pepper. It is wild harvested on north Sumatra. Andaliman Pepper is also known as Bataks Berry.

Adaliman Pepper’s smell is a strong and bright lemon and lime aroma, a bit like lemon sherbets. It tastes citrussy with a mild numbing sensation like a Sichuan Pepper-light.

Axel’s Tasting Notes: Andaliman Pepper – Aroma: Orange, bergamot, pink grapefruit, floral like Earl Grey. Flavour: Starts sweet orange that becomes black tea; the flavour ends like fresh, lemongrass and with a strong tinging end.

Food Pairing: Chicken, roasted lobster tails, scallops, gravadlax or poached salmon, veal casserole, white asparagus, fresh goat’s cheese, chocolate mousse, orange fruit salad.
