Steenbergs Organic Christmas Tea

Steenbergs organic Christmas Blend is a loose-leaf black chai tea for a spicier Christmas – no artificial flavours, no nature identical flavours, just tea and pesticide free ingredients. Love it through those darker, wintry months.

We create our premium festive black tea with a base of organic black tea, then we add a unique mix of spices – a core of sweet cinnamon, ginger and clove, plus cardamom, orange and lemon peels. It’s a blending of tea and spices with a Christingle-pomander vibe.

At Steenbergs, we hand blend our teas in small batches, using only chemical free, natural ingredients, then we leave them to infuse for several weeks before packing down in small batches. It’s all about the slowness, taking the time for the teas to naturally infuse.

Tea brewing: Boil freshly drawn water, then pour on the tea leaves. For a mug: Put 1 teaspoon of Christmas Blend per cup and steep for about 5 minutes. For a pot: Put 1 teaspoon of Christmas Blend per cup plus 1 teaspoon for the pot; steep for about 5 minutes. Add a little milk and sugar if you wish.

Chai making: In a saucepan, bring 125 ml water, 2 teaspoons sugar and 2 teaspoons of Steenbergs organic Christmas Blend to a boil; add 125 ml milk and simmer for 5 minutes, strain and pour into a mug and enjoy.
