Steenbergs Dandelion Leaf

Organic Dandelion leaves brew a rounded tea that’s herby and almost spicy, slightly bitter, earthy flavour. Dandelion is regarded as a purifier of the blood and urinary systems. Light green cut leaves with a grassy aroma. Dandelion brews to a deep green colour and tastes spicy, earthy and with a mild bitterness – add dried fruit to reduce this – but I think it’s okay on its own.

Tea brewing: Boil freshly drawn water, then pour on the tea leaves. For a mug: Put 1 teaspoon per cup and steep for about 5 minutes. For a pot: Put 1 teaspoon per cup; steep for about 5 minutes.

Tasting notes: Herby, hints of spice, slightly bitter, earthy.
