Steenbergs Decaffeinated Black Tea

Steenbergs Decaffeinated Tea is a Ceylon Orange Pekoe tea (BOP1) that’s been carbon dioxide decaffeinated. The leaves are wiry, twisted black leaves and the cup tastes like a classic Sri Lankan tea – light and bright with crisp, snappy flavour. This tea is characterized by its amber-coloured infusion, elegant smooth finish, slight spiciness, and a hint of fruitiness. The infusion is exceptionally mild on the palate and smooth in the finish.

Tea brewing: Into a warmed teapot, put 1 teaspoon of Decaffeinated Tea per cup plus 1 teaspoon for the pot. Bring fresh water to the boil and then pour over the Decaffeinated Tea and steep for 5 minutes.

Tasting notes: Dark copper-brown liquor; fragrance is clean tea, taste is mild black tea with slight fruitiness and bitterness.
