Steenbergs Organic Liquorice

Organic Liquorice tisane is an uplifting herbal tea – naked, dried liquorice root pieces, no tea bag. Cultivated in Europe for roughly 1,000 years, it has a bittersweet, woody flavour with strong notes of anise. Liquorice energises and helps settle your stomach, is a cough repressant and is an expectorant.

Tea brewing: boil freshly drawn water, then pour on the tea leaves. For a mug: Put 1 teaspoon per cup and steep for about 5 minutes. For a pot: Put 1 teaspoon per cup; steep for about 5 minutes.

Tasting notes: Bittersweet, woody, anise.
