Steenbergs Organic Minty Lamb Rub

Steenbergs Organic Minty Lamb Seasoning is an authentic, premium spice blend. It was created for marinading lamb chops before summer barbecues.

Mint and lamb just go together as one of the classic combinations. Simply rub onto lamb chops or a leg of lamb, dry or loosened with a little sunflower oil. Leave to marinade for a few hours in the fridge before grilling, roasting or barbecuing.

The core flavours of Axel’s blend are fresh, dry herbs – spearmint, parsley, rosemary and thyme, with spearmint the major one. Spearmint has a fresh menthol taste and the rosemary gives a pungent woody flavour. We add a bit of heat with some organic black pepper and yellow mustard powder. Then salt and garlic give an umami richness that complements the sweetness of lamb very well.
