Steenbergs Turkish Spice Mix was developed by Niki Beh as an all-purpose mild chilli spice mix for flavouring everyday Turkish-style dishes. Niki says, ‘It’s a pleasure to pay tribute to my Turkish heritage with the launch of my second spice mix with Steenbergs: Niki’s Turkish Blend. It’s a deeply savoury, beautiful and authentic spice mix which is utterly versatile and easy to use in your everyday cooking and for more elaborate Turkish/Middle Eastern dishes. After extensive research I found this blend to be the staple in all of my Turkish dishes and now I want to share it with you in a fuss free all in one blend which will pack bags of flavour to your food. No need to reach for salt, pepper or sumac separately, this one has it all! My Turkish Blend can be used for a wide range of dishes, from traditional meals like mantı (Turkish ravioli), Mercimek Çorbası (lentil soup), Çılbır (poached Turkish eggs), Patlicanli Kebap (aubergine kebabs) all the way to sprucing up some sauteed potatoes, a topping for yoghurt or cream cheese and even for everyday roasted vegetables and scrambled eggs…mmmm. Afiyet Olsun!’
