Steenbergs organic Tagine Spice Mix recreates the warming spicy flavours of Moroccan tagines, the traditional Moroccan casserole with this highly aromatic blend of sweet and hot spices.

Steenbergs organic Tagine Spice Mix has a resemblance to baharat without the black pepper, because that’s the everyday spice blend of North Africa into the Levant.

Tagine Spices work brilliantly with tagines, whether with vegetable or tofu base, or slow-cooked with lamb, pigeon or chicken.

At Steenbergs, we hand-blend organic paprika, organic coriander, organic cinnamon, organic chilli, organic allspice, together with a little bit of ground organic cloves and organic cardamom powder. Totally delicious! Hand blended to Steenbergs own recipe at the Steenbergs spice factory in North Yorkshire.

Steenbergs organic Tagine Spices blend together hot and sweet spices to work well with the sweetness of dried fruits that are characteristic of a tagine and the gamey flavours of lamb.

How to use: add one tablespoon to a tagine for 4 – 6 people.
