Steenbergs Russian Caravan Tea

Steenbergs Russian Caravan Tea is a classic blend of black teas characteristic of Russian flavours, combining various types of black China teas to give a rich, winey flavour and a light smokiness.

Steenbergs Russian Caravan Tea blend evokes old-style flavours of a strong, sloghtly smoky tea. This comes from the bold black tea, the definite smokiness from the lapsang souchong and the leathery flavours of Keemun and Yunnan. It’s an old-fashioned tea. It is a light brewing tea with delicate smoky aromas and tastes.

Tea brewing: Boil freshly drawn water, then pour on the tea leaves. For a mug: Put 1 teaspoon of Russian Caravan tea per cup and steep for about 5 minutes. For a pot: Put 1 teaspoon of Russian Caravan tea per cup in the pot; steep for about 5 minutes. Add a little milk and sugar if you wish but both somewhat mask the smokiness that’s characteristic for Russian Caravan tea.
