Potpourri is a traditional method of creating a natural method to perfume your house. In this recipe, we provide a good starting point to show you how to make potpourri at home, or make some extra and give it as gifts. Alternatively if you like to create different moods with aromas try Steenbergs scented candles or Maroma incense sticks.

Method

01
Mix together all the ingredients bar the essential oils. When blended together well, add the oil a drop at a time, stirring continuously and so enabling it to be spread evenly throughout the mix.
02
Tip the blended potpourri into a large jar, filling it only loosely and store in a dark, warm dry place. Give the jar a shake every few days to blend together the ingredients further and allow the aroma to mature. Don't be impatient as the maturation time is key.
