Rose Falooda Bites recipe
“At Diwali, we prepare a table full of sweet and savoury treats, colourful and festive! Here’s a simple and light addition to the table:) My grandmother used to make these pink falooda bites for us growing up, light and jelly-like, and incredibly simple to make.

Ingredients
For the recipe:
- 300ml milk (or almond milk)
- 1 tsp agar agar
- 2 tbsp rose water
- 1 tbsp rose syrup
- a few strands saffron
- a small handful green cardamom pods, crushed
- a small handful rose petals
- a small handful chopped nuts
“At Diwali, we prepare a table full of sweet and savoury treats, colourful and festive! Here’s a simple and light addition to the table:) My grandmother used to make these pink falooda bites for us growing up, light and jelly-like, and incredibly simple to make. Falooda is made with milk, set with China grass or agar agar so it becomes a jelly-like texture within minutes, flavoured with rose water and cardamom and sweetened with rose syrup, which also gives it a lovely pink colour. It still tastes great without rose syrup but the pop of pink is quite alluring! You can garnish it with chopped nuts if you like and some rose petals mix.”
