Spicy Pork Tagine Recipe
Although pork is not readily married to tagine, this is a quick but flavoursome way to cook pork fillet.

Ingredients
For the recipe:
- 200g pork fillet, sliced into cm thick rounds
- Glug of olive oil and spoon of butter
- 2 large spring onions, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 sweet red pepper, chopped
- 1/2 pint boiling water with 1 tbsp Steenbergs vegetable bouillon
- 1/2 tsp Steenbergs Tagine Mix (add more to taste)
- 1 tsp sundried tomato paste
- Steenbergs Perfect Salt

Method

Heat the oil and butter in a heavy-bottomed frying pan

Add the spring onions and red pepper. Cook on a low heat for 5 minutes

Add tagine mix and stir

Add pork fillet. Cook on either side until brown. Add vegetable bouillon and boiling water

Stir in tomato paste. Cook for 5 more minutes. Add perfect salt.

Serve with rice
