Ingredients

For the recipe:
  • 300g firm tofu, drained and pressed
  • 1/2 tsp Steenbergs kala namak
  • 1/2 tsp Steenbergs organic smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Steenbergs organic turmeric
  • 2 tsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp Steenbergs Aleppo chillli pepper (or 1-1.5 tsp red pepper flakes)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed with a press
  • 2-3 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp Niki's Korean blend
  • to taste sea salt & black pepper
To serve
  • soft tender salad greens or avocado slices
  • crispy chilli oil plus extra for garnish
  • sourdough bread for toast

Method

Over a medium flame, add your oil and tear in your pressed tofu pieces. Allow the pieces to brown a little for 5 minutes. Do not over mix at this stage.

Add in your spices and turn the heat down. Mix to coat every tofu piece with the spices and oil. After 5 minutes dish up.

Serve on crusty sourdough bread with extra crispy chilli oil.
