Steenbergs Aleppo Chilli Ground

Aleppo Chilli Ground is a mild chilli from the Mediterranean, which is also known as Pul Biber. Steenbergs Aleppo Chilli Ground comes from Turkey.

It has a mild heat and is smoky, intense and slightly salty. It’s a versatile and popular ingredient for Eastern Mediterranean and Persian cooking.

This chilli pairs well with

• tomatoes, either in a salad or sauce,
• or sprinkle to top avocado or eggs
• or stir into olive oil or dressings.
• Cilbir Turkish-style eggs are delicious with these chilli flakes.

Aleppo Chilli comes from the Eastern Mediterranean, mainly Turkey. During the drying process, salt can be added as a processing aid. It is packed it down in small batches to ensure the freshest quality.

This Chilli has a dark, burgundy-red colour. It is a coarsely ground chilli flake, with a mild sweet chilli flavour and hints of sun-dried tomatoes. It’s mildly hot, c. 15,000 SHUs.
