Steenbergs Organic White Downy Tea comes from the Fujian province in china and is a loose leaf Chinese organic white tea. Organic white downy tea is hand picked tea and hand processed using orthodox tea methods to give very long twisted leaves many with silver tips and a beautiful white downy coating to the leaves. On cupping, White Downy Tea has a light yellow colour and has a fresh, sweet taste of newly cut herbs. A really beautiful tea for the afternoon or evening, but make sure your palate is clean, so you can savour the delicate beauty of its flavour profile.
Tea brewing: Into a warmed teapot, put in 1 teaspoon of White Downy Tea per cup. Bring fresh water to boil & pour over White Downy Tea. Steep for 3 – 5 minutes. Do not add milk and ideally no sugar.
