Old Hamlet Wine & Spice Mulled Wine Spices Fairtrade – Printed Cotton Bag

Old Hamlet’s Fairtrade Mulled Wine Mix is a blend of sugar and spices to make classic mulled wine, whether you call it gluhwein, glogg or vin chaud.

Old Hamlet’s Fairtrade Mulling Wine Mix was created in 1990s as a simple-to-use mix that would perfectly flavour one bottle of red wine. The only change since then is that the recipe has contained Fairtrade ingredients since 2006.

This easy to use mix is hand-blended in small batches in North Yorkshire. Its then packed into four single-serve sachets, and presented in a printed cotton bag – printed and sewn in the UK.

How to make mulled wine: Pour one 75cl bottle of red wine and a small glass of orange juice (optional) into a saucepan, then add the contents of one Mulled Wine sachet. Heat, stirring occasionally, Do not let boil, but serve hot. For special occasions, add one tablespoon of brandy or liqueur and some slices of fresh lemon or orange. If desired can be diluted with water, apple juice or orange juice.

Mulled wine is a traditional drink around Christmas and winter festive occasions. Whether its a party or a warming drink on a cold night, these sachets make adding flavour without artificial flavours and sweeteners easy.
