Steenbergs Organic Creole Rub is a premium organic spice blend. It gives you a Louisiana vibe, whether it’s for a gumbo or jambalaya or creole shrimp.

Just one teaspoon of Creole Rub flavours enough for a family. Simple rub onto meat or fish, leave to marinate for 1 hour in the fridge, then cook and stir into rice dishes or gumbos.

It recreates the flavours of a classic Creole Seasoning which are the base for New Orleans cookery. Steenbergs Creole Seasoning can be used on its own or as the southerns-style flavouring to build the seasoning of classic Lousiania dishes. It is so very versatile.

Our organic Creole Rub has celery salt and sugar as its bittersweet base. To this core, we add cayenne pepper, paprika and black pepper for a fruity and woody warmth. Cumin gives it earthiness with the sharpness of garlic. A little thyme gives it a spicy freshness.
