Product Description

Steenbergs organic Southern Fried Chicken Spice Mix has been created for a spicy seasoning to make crisp and tender chicken in the best Southern traditions.

This spice seasoning is based around Buttermilk Chicken recipes. At its core  are flavour enhancing salt, spiced up with a warming, pungent array of black pepper, with mustard and chilli to give a comforting, mildly hot flavour.

How to use: Mix 2 – 3 teaspoons of Steenbergs organic Southern Fried Chicken mix with 1 cup flour and coat chicken wings or drumsticks. Shallow fry till golden brown, cooked through, nice and tender. Or to make Buttermilk Chicken – buttermilk (or milk),add 2 – 3 teaspoons of the spice mix and marinade before coating in a flour mix with more of the seasoning.

Steenbergs Organic Southern Fried Chicken Seasoning is one of Steenbergs’ authentic spice blends that only uses natural ingredients. Blended at the Steenbergs spice factory in North  Yorkshire.

This mix also works well as a dry spice rub for cauliflower and tofu.
