Pimhill Organic Porridge Oats

Organic Porridge oats from Pimhill Farm Organic (organic since 1949) 850g. Grown and hand packed in Shropshire, UK.

How to cook. On the hob. For perfect Porridge use 1 level cup of Pimhill Organic Porridge Oats and 1 cups of cold water or milk (add salt to taste if you like). Bring to the boil whilst continuously stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and leave to stand for a minute then serve.

In microwave. Place 1 cup of oats and 1 1/2 cups of water in a large microwaveable bowl and microwave on full power for 3/4 minutes (based on a 800W microwave oven). Do not cover. Allow to stand and serve.

How to enjoy. Sprinkle with sugar or drizzle with honey. If you are old enough, on a really cold winters morning, add a dash of whisky!

Alternatively use as a baking ingredient for flapjacks or in home made muesli or a Steenberg family favourite of overnight oats which keeps you going when working.

Pimhill is a farming family from Shropshire and were one of the first farms in the UK to convert to organic farming.

They have a mixed organic farm, with a dairy herd of 220 cows and grow beans for the cows and wheat and oats for sale through its Mill. They have been an organic farm since 1949.

The Farm is run by Ginny Mayall and her husband Ian Anderson – third generation of the Mayall family to farm at Pimhill.
