Steenbergs Organic Ras El Hanout

Steenbergs Organic Ras el Hanout is a premium organic Moroccan-style spice blend. It’s different from our non-organic version because of the difficulty of sourcing some of the more eclectic spices from organic farming supplies.

Ras el Hanout is arguably the finest example of how blending a diverse collection of spices can come together to form a complete ingredient that is immeasurably greater than the sum of the parts taken individually. Every spice merchant has his/her own recipe but typically it is a complex mix of spices that embody the spice trade.

Ras el Hanout is a subtle, curry like with a spicy yet floral fragrance and robust yet subtle flavour. It has a rich, floral spiciness with a nuttiness. This organic spice blend is completely different from our non-organic ras al hanut. It is less spicy and more floral in flavour. This version also contains sesame seeds.
