Product Description

Steenbergs Traditional Sea Salt is a pure sea salt from the Algarve, South Portugal. It is unrefined and has no additives.

Steenbergs Traditional Sea Salt flavour is delicately of the sea and its rich minerals. The flavour is salty, with a crunch from the large salt crystals.

Use Steenbergs Traditional Sea Salt in pasta water or rub it into oven-roasted chicken. We love it sprinkled over boiled new potatoes.

Axel’s Tasting Notes: Traditional Sea Salt – Salty, marine-like mineral with a whiff of the sea and a faint sweetness.

Traditional Sea Salt will grind but a ceramic mill is recommended, because it is much wetter than many sea salts.

More Details On Steenbergs Traditional Sea Salt

Traditional Sea Salt is made with low environmental impact. It is dried in the sun.

In the Algarve, the heat increases in the morning and is hot in the afternoon. This higher temperature continues into the evening. In these hotter temperatures, salt crystals grow quicker and stronger.
