Old Hamlet Wine & Spice Whisky Toddy Spice Bundles – Black Pillow Pack

Old Hamlet’s Whisky Toddy Bundles are a blend of spices hand-tied muslin into individual pouchettes.  Each is designed to make two glasses of Whisky Toddy. There are four of these muslin pouchettes in each of these black pillow packs. These are part of the Old Hamlet’s pillow pack range.

Old Hamlet’s Fairtrade Whisky Toddy Mix was created in 1970s as a simple-to-use mix that would perfectly flavour two glasses of warming whisky toddy.

Hand-blended in small batches in North Yorkshire (at Steenbergs spice factory), packed and hand-tied into four single-serve muslin bundles, and presented in a black pillow pack.

How to make whisky toddy: Add 450 ml (three-quarters of a pint) of fresh cold water into a saucepan, then add one Whisky Toddy pouchette along with one level tablespoon of sugar. Bring slowly to the boil, reduce heat and stirring occasionally simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat. Allow to cool for 10 minutes, remove pouchette, then add add 75ml (2.5fl oz) of whisky and reheat. Do not boil. Serve hot,  with a slice of lemon or orange.
