Seggiano Organic Orzo Whole Wheat Ancient Grain Pasta

Seggiano organic orzo is a whole wheat ancient grain pasta. Made from the Sicilian ancient grains – Timillia, Russello and Maiorca.

Locally farmed and sustainable organic ancient grain varieties are freshly milled for each batch of pasta, which is made within hours to limit oxidisation, using the pure water from Mount Etna.

Why ancient grains? It has a low gluten index (low GI) meaning weaker gluten bonds, with a high fiber content. The variety of ancient grains also help to increase biodiversity.

Also good news is that the milling and pasta production of this organic pasta is powered by clean energy from renewable sources.

Orzo is rice shaped pasta and is great in soups, on its own, salad, or casseroles

This organic orzo pasta is brown drawn and slow-dried.
