Sage and Onion Sourdough Stuffing Recipe

Ingredients

For the recipe:
  • 300g stale sourdough bread, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 onions, peeled and chopped finely
  • 2 sprigs of fresh sage, leaves chopped finely
  • 2 spring onions, sliced finely
  • 1/2 tsp smoked sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried sage powder
  • 1/2 tsp Aleppo chilli flakes
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Method

Preheat your oven to 160ºC and grease your baking tin with some butter, set aside.

In a medium-sized pan, melt your butter and olive oil until the butter has melted and sizzling.

Add in your onions and spring onions and cook until softened, around 5 minutes.

Add in your bread, fresh sage, all your spices, and mix to coat the bread evenly with the mixture.

Pour into your greased tin and spread evenly.

Drizzle some more olive oil and sea salt, and continue cooking in the oven for 15 minutes. Serve right away!
