Steenbergs Rose And Bergamot Black Tea is a light brewing beautiful floral loose leaf tea made with Ceylon and Chinese teas, which is ideal for the afternoon or evening. Axel's idea behind this tea was to make something evocative of classical Persia - tea and damask rose with hints of orange blossom. "I imagine fun walking in gardens with tinkling fountains and peacocks strutting their fancy stuff. So I have devised this recipe that uses light black teas, plenty of rose petals, cornflower petals and orange blossom, then added some cardamom and bergamot for that orange and sweet cardamom taste. Relax and enjoy life with pleasant dreams."
Ingredients: black tea, rose petals, cardamom pods, orange blossom, cornflower, bergamot oil
Tea brewing: warm your teapot, then put 1 teaspoon of Steenbergs Rose & Bergamot Black Tea per cup into the teapot. Bring some freshly drawn water to the boil, the pour over the Rose & Bergamot Black Tea. Let it brew for 3-5 minutes. Add sugar to taste, but ideally no milk as that will dull the floral flavours.
This Rose and Bergamot loose leaf tea has been created, blended and packed at the Steenbergs Tea Factory in North Yorkshire. This version is packed in the Steenbergs signature hinged tea tins.

This is one of my favourite all day drinking teas and I've been converting friends and family to it for years. It's a lovely floral light tea that works best without milk. The addition of cardamom adds a lovely depth to the flavour.
