Ceylon Lovers Leap Orange Pekoe Tea 250g , loose leaf, Steenbergs details and description

Steenbergs Ceylon Orange Pekoe Tea is one of the finest black Ceylon teas and comes from the famous Lovers Leap tea estate in Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka.  The plantation is high grown at up to 2000 metres - 5700 ft - above sea level and in the clouds which creates a light and very delicate taste and aroma.  The cup tastes more like a Darjeeling than a normal Ceylon tea - light & bright with crisp, snappy flavour.

This tea is characterized by its amber-coloured infusion, elegant smooth finish, slight spiciness, and a hint of fruitiness. The infusion is exceptionally mild on the palate and smooth in the finish. Lovers Leap is named after the 30-metre-long waterfall on the highest mountain in the country.

How to make Ceylon Orange Pekoe Tea from Lovers Leap Tea Estate - into a warmed teapot, put 1 teaspoon of Ceylon Orange Pekoe Tea per cup plus 1 teaspoon for the pot.  Bring fresh water to the boil and then pour over the Ceylon Orange Pekoe Tea and brew for 3 - 5 minutes.
