Amisa Organic Chickpea flour or Gram flour is milled from chickpeas. Chickpea flour (Gram Flour) is widely used in Indian cuisine for making pakora and bhajis and also in Middle Eastern cuisine for hummus, falafel mixes or panelle flat breads. It is also useful for thickening soups and sauces. Chickpeas are one of the earliest cultivated legumes - 7,500 year old remains have been discovered in the Middle East. Chickpeas are high in protein, fibre and are naturally gluten free. 

Also known as chana dhal flour (skinned and split chick peas) chickpea flour, garbanzo flour, or besan (Bengali: বেসন beshon).
