Organic Assam Black Tea 500g Steenbergs details and description

Steenbergs Organic Assam Tea is our everyday Assam tea that currently comes from Hathikuli Estate. The word Hathikuli is derived from the Assamese words “Hathi” (elephant) and “Kuli” (Frequent) which translates into a place that is frequently visited by elephants. The estate is situated on NH-37, adjoining the Kaziranga National Park which is a world heritage site. It falls in two districts- Golaghat & Karbi-Anglong.

Steenbergs Organic Assam Tea is a small broken orange pekoe leaf (the grade is GBOP) and is a rich brown colour with a few golden tips through it.  It's a good, old fashioned brew, but without too much bitterness and with good organic and ethical credentials to satisfy our souls.  Lovely stuff.

Brewing Tip: one teaspoon of Steenbergs organic Assam per mug or person (please note: mug and person are not one and the same). Add freshly drawn, boiling water, steep for 4 - 5 minutes according to taste.

In the new Steenbergs refill packaging, paper with a plant based liner to make it heat sealed. Recyclable with other paper or compostable.
