These Suma Dried Organic Black Turtle Beans are simple to use. Black beans are small, oval and shiny jet black. Black beans have cream colored flesh, a mild, sweet, earthy taste, and a soft texture. They are a mainstay of Caribbean and South American cooking in chilli dishes, fried for breakfast or in the Brazilina meal - feijoada completa. Black beans are a slightly kidney-shaped bean which is stunningly black. Beans are loaded with antioxidant compounds and black beans are one of the highest.
Organic black beans are ideal for soups, casseroles and salads. A useful source of fibre and protein. Tender, chunky and sweet.
Instructions:
Soak the beans in plenty of cold water for at least 8 hours or overnight. Drain and rinse, cover with fresh water and bring to the boil. Simmer until tender (around 1 hour). Drain and season to taste or add to your favourite recipe.
