Simply add to a bottle of vodka in the order suggested, then filter and rebottle. You will then have your very own ginger-coloured vodka to enjoy. Either enjoy yourself, gift it or make the Gingerbread Vodka as a gift.
How to make Gingerbread Vodka: Add the sugar to a 1 litre airtight jar, followed by the crystallised ginger and spices. Open a 750ml bottle of vodka and pour in. Gently stir with a clean wooden spoon.
Store somewhere cool and dark. Shake daily for a week, then leave for a further 5 days. Take a large mixing bowl or jug and strain the Gingerbread Vodka into this using a kitchen sieve. Discard the botanicals. Place a muslin square over the sieve and refilter the Gingerbread Vodka to remove any remaining botanicals. Pour into a bottle and seal. Ideally leave for 2 months, but it can be drunk immediately.
