Bread Matters Organic Sourdough Starter Culture 10g details and description

Make your own authentic sourdough bread. Share sourdough and pass it on. Anyone who is or knows of someone who regularly uses sourdough knows that the gift of a sourdough starter is a rare and pleasant treat, one of those gifts that can just keep giving. BreadMatters even runs a website www.fungalnetwork.com to help keep sourdough bakers in touch with each other.

BreadMatters was founded by Andrew Whitley who started The Village Bakery (bizarrely also based in another Melmerby - but not ours) in 1976. He no longer is part of that enterprise and has moved on to spread the word about Real Bread.

In 1990 he brought sourdough from Russia for his rye breads. The sourdough culture in this packet still has its basis in that original culture.

Andrew co-founded the UK's Real Bread campaign. His book Bread Matters and renowned courses reveal the secrets - and digestive benefits - of sourdough.

Store: In a cool dry place
