Organic Chick Peas Dried 500g - Suma details and description
Organic chick peas or garbanzo beans are delicious in a whole host of curries including chana masala (probably our favourite use) and hummus. Also, known as chana dal. Organic chickpeas taste nutty and have a slight crunchy texture.
Chick-peas work well in vegetable casseroles , sausage casserole (probably one of Sophie's favourite uses of them), blended in soups, felafel or added to meat balls. Just an all round star.
Country of origin: Turkey
Soak chickpeas in plenty of cold water for at least 8 hours or overnight. Rinse well and cover organic chickpeas with water, boil rapidly for 10 minutes. Discard this water, then add fresh water and simmer on a low heat until tender (around 1 hour). Drain and season to taste.
