Steenbergs Organic Sencha is a flat-leafed green tea that is a clean and delicious taste with a honey-yellow infusion. Sencha is the most popular form of tea made and drunk in Japan and is grown at the base of Mount Fujisan. Steenbergs Japanese Sencha has a slightly damp grass style flavour that is typical of green tea made in the Japanese way, because it is steamed for a few seconds rather than pan-fired like a Chinese tea.
How to brew Steenbergs Organic Sencha Green Tea from Japan - into a warmed teapot, put 1 teaspoon of sencha tea per cup plus 1 teaspoon for the pot. Bring fresh water to boil and pour over sencha tea. Steep for 3 - 5 minutes.
