Tomato Sauce for Pizza Recipe
A quick and easy tomato sauce to use for topping pizzas or pasta.
Ingredients
| 2 tins | chopped tomatoes |
| 1 | onion, peeled and chopped in half |
| 1 | clove of garlic, peeled |
| a pinch | sugar |
| 2 tsp | Steenbergs organic pizza seasoning |
| sea salt & black pepper to season |
Method
- Place all of the ingredients in a saucepan, bring to the boil, then turn down and simmer for 20-30 minutes until the onion is soft.
- Place the contents of the saucepan in a blender (or use a hand blender) and whizz everything up together to create a smooth sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Keep in the fridge and use for topping pizzas and pasta.
