Organic Red Split Lentils 500g - Suma details and description
Suma organic red split lentils - fantastic in daal or as lentil soup. One of the tastiest and easiest lentils to use. These organic red lentils were grown in Turkey. Red lentils are important in indian cuisine, where they are served normally as a side dish, e.g. tarka daal.
These organic red lentils don't need soaking and are quick to cook up and add as a tasty addition to many dishes including pies, casseroles, soups and sauces.
Instructions:
No need to soak. Cover these organic red lentils with three times the amount of cold water, bring to the boil, then simmer for 15-20 minutes or until tender, drain and add to your favourite recipe.
Storage:
Keep out of direct sunlight. Store in a cool dry place.

One of my favourite storecupboard ingredients are organic red split lentils, quick, tasty and nourishing, either add one of our curry mixes or cardamom pods to the lentils when cooking.
