Delicious blondies with a hint of superfood powder Maca, from Gourmet Glow
Ingredients
| 100g | Mixed Nuts, chopped |
| 120g | Butter |
| 200g | Light Brown Soft Sugar |
| 190g | Plain Flour |
| 2 | Ripe Bananas, mashed |
| 1 | Egg, beaten |
| 1 tsp | Steenbergs organic Fairtrade Vanilla Extract |
| 1 tbsp | Maca Powder |
| 150g | White Chocolate, chopped (or any chocolate) |
| 6 tbsp | Peanut Butter, chunky or smooth |
Method
- Preheat oven 180C. Grease and line a rectangular Brownie Tin with Baking Paper.
- Put the butter and sugar in a bowl over a pan of boiling water and leave to melt, stirring occasionally.
- Take off the heat and add all remaining ingredients except the nuts and chocolate and stir to combine.
- Add in the chocolate and nuts and stir in once again. Pour into the prepared tin dot with the peanut butter and gently swirl with a skewer
- Bake for 17-20 minutes until cooked but gooey in the centre.
- Leave to cool completely in the tin before cutting into squares.
