Made for Seggiano in Sicily, this is the most deliciously smooth and creamy of chocolate nut spreads. Its secret is grinding the unusually high percentage of nutritious local hazelnuts to a fine smooth spread with the cocoa, without using emulsifiers.
All of Seggiano cacao spreads are both vegan and organic and contain a significantly higher proportion of hazelnuts, compared to market competitors which use oil as their primary ingredients.
The Crunchy and Smooth are made by two lovely brothers in Sicily and the secret of their deliciously creamy chocolate nut spreads, is grinding an unusually high percentage of nutritious local Nebrodi hazelnuts to a fine smooth cream with the cocoa, without using emulsifiers ... this is real slow food from Italy. To make the luxurious Smooth Dark version, our small family producer slow roasts local Tuscia hazelnuts and blends them smooth with deeply rich cocoa paste, by slow milling and sieving.
