Meet the Team: Ellie

Meet the youngest member of the team, Ellie

Job at Steenbergs: I started off helping out with all the Christmas orders. I was then introduced to the distribution side of the business and I am now the distribution executive (working alongside Axel with purchasing and goods in). I will also happily lend a hand with any of the other tasks that need doing within the business. 

1. How long have you worked for Steenbergs? I have worked at Steenbergs for 2 years.

2. Favourite Steenbergs product and why. My favourite Steenbergs product has to be Spicy Salt. It's spicy and not too hot and tastes really good on French Fries.

3. Any top tips for cooking or storing spices. The herbs and spices that I have at home are kept at room temperature in a dark cupboard.

4. Which famous person (past or present) would you like to have supper with?  The famous people I would have supper with would be Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. They are my favourite actors and I can imagine we would all have such a laugh together. 

5. What would be your desert island meal/favourite meal?  It would have to be either a lamb tikka masala or a roast dinner with pork.

6. Most surprising thing you’ve learnt at Steenbergs?  In the past two years I’ve learnt so much at Steenbergs. When I first started working here I knew hardly anything about herbs and spices. I couldn’t believe how many there were. I’ve surprised myself with how far I’ve come along in the company. For me, I think the best thing I have learned here is how to use a spreadsheet and being able to improve on my maths skills.

7. Thing you most do for the environment? I help the environment as I don’t drive. I love going walking. I also recycle.
