Trying to buy a tasty, sweet snack, that does not lead to a sugar surge, has led me to make my own protein-rich snack bites that provide a 'healthy' energy boost. I have used only one flavour of nut before, which gives a very distinct flavour, but I prefer the 'mixed nut' flavour. Any nut mixture can be used with any nut butter or indeed dried fruit - so it is a question of seeing what is in the cupboard!
