Old Hamlet's lemon barley water ingredients will make about 3 litres of refreshing squash. When made, to dilute: two parts of lemon barley concentrate to one part of lemonade or sparkling mineral water.
Extra things you'll need to make the Lemon Barley Water - 2 lemons, empty bottles, water.
Ingredients: Pearl Barley, Sugar, Lemon Peel. Allergens: Ingredients in Bold.
Directions: Take 2 lemons and grate the peel thinly. Add the grated lemon peel into a pan, and 1 Old Hamlet lemon barley sachet and 1 litre of water. Bring the lemon barley mixture to the boil, cover the pan and gently simmer for 1.5 hours, then remove from the heat. In another pan, add 4 tablespoons of sugar and the juice of the two lemons; gently heat until the sugar is dissolved. Strain the original mixture into the pan and allow to cool. Bottle before using as a cordial.
Store in a cool, dry and dark place.
